I hopped on the ‘decks yesterday afternoon for a quick little half hour mix session.
It starts out with a classic tune and moves on into some of my current faves. This set was done completely live on two Technics SL-1200 turntables.

We’ve all walked out of a movie and said, “I could’ve done better than that.” Here’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is. xtranormal aims to bring out the director/ creator in all of us with www.xtranormal.com, an application that allows users to create video spots from a variety of templates and broadcast to the audience of their choice. Through a range of production tools that simplify the entire movie-making process to ingenious avatars that recreate your dialogue, xtranormal has created a technology that could have far-reaching ramifications not only for the entertainment industry but for the very definition of online video.
I’ve taken a few minutes to give the new service a try and created 3 original videos and one “remix”. The site allows you to take someone else’s work and put your own spin on their creation.
This could get addicting for just about anyone who loves to be creative. Even though the abilities of the animated characters are somewhat limited, there are plenty of variables to keep things interesting for a while.
